Regular household help

The heart of this trade: someone who comes on a fixed day and keeps the household in order. Vacuuming and mopping, kitchen and bathroom, changing beds, dusting — which tasks are included is something you agree together, and that list may shift with the seasons.

You pay € 17 to € 25 per hour. Where you land in that range depends on the size of your home, the hours per visit and whether you work with a self-employed cleaner or through a cleaning company. A fixed rhythm usually sits below the rate of a one-off visit: your address slots into a route, so less time is lost travelling.
